  • 1.5 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1.25 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1.25 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoons onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1.5 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or foil.
  • In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, white sugar, black pepper, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt.
  • Add the olive oil to the bag and mix the spices with the oil until well combined.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the bag, seal it tightly, and squeeze to coat the chicken evenly with the spice mixture.
  • Remove the chicken pieces from the bag and place them in a single layer on the prepared pan.

Cooking

  • Bake the chicken in the preheated oven, uncovered, until golden and juices run clear, approximately 25-30 minutes.
  • Check doneness with an instant-read thermometer; it should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

Notes

Ensure chicken is fully coated with the spice blend for maximum flavor. Let it rest briefly after baking for juiciness. Extra spices can flavor vegetables easily.
