  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts Boneless and skinless preferred.
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons local honey Can substitute with any honey.
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Low sodium soy sauce can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.
  • 2 tablespoons flour For thickening the sauce.

Preparation

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until the butter is melted and bubbling.
  • Add the seasoned chicken breasts and sear until golden brown on each side.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute, being careful not to burn it.
  • Stir in honey and soy sauce, mixing well to combine, and allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring each piece is coated with the sauce, cover, and cook until the chicken is fully cooked through.
  • Sprinkle flour into the sauce, stirring well to thicken it, and let it simmer for an additional minute.

Notes

For variations, add citrus juice for brightness or serve with different grains. Utilize leftovers by slicing and adding to salads.
